The mayor of Les Hôpitaux Neufs has agreed that it is fine for pilgrims to walk beside the length of the Coni-Fer railway track. This allows some simplification of the route:
At 44.030 do not turn left, but remain beside the track until you reach the train station in Les Hôpitaux Neufs (approximately 4.5km). At the station continue north-east on route de la Poste and turn right at the T-junction, beside the Mairie (point 44.044).
