The Coole Valley Historic Route

Immediately south of Chalons-en-Champagne the route divides into the modern VF/GR®145 route heading east to pass through Vitry-le-François and the shorter and more likely Sigeric route following the Roman road via Coole. The Fédération Française Via Francigena (FFVF) have begun to install specific signage on this section as part of their program to maintain the historic route https://ffvf.fr/pose-des-pancartes-vallee-de-la-coole/
