Route and Accommodation Changes June 2018

Stage 2, Saint-Privat-D’Allier to Sauges page 33, the distance summary says 24km but the route description, page 37, shows 19.7km, which is correct.

 

 

Stage 11, Conques to Livinhac-le Haut, shows the GR 65 passing through La Brouse and Les Boriettes.  This route, however, is the GR 6 and is noted as such on the signs.  The GR 65, at the juncion with the GR6, shortly after the climb out of Conques, head south to Moailhac via road D-232. They both end up in Dcazeville, however, at  the Centre d’ Accueil Abbaye, Ithey were advising pilgrims to use the GR65, suthern route.  At the junction, the GR6 appeared overgrown with high grass.

 

Stage 22, Lectoure, Gite L’Etolle Occitane – No horses

 

Stage 22, Lectoure to La Romieu, page 189, the directions departing Lectoure , steps 1 – 5 are wrong.  The route has completely changed and the red and white blazes are a mess.  Pilgrims who got out without a problem needed to ask directions.  I didn’t and spent an hour wondering around trying to figure it out.  From steps 6 forward, the book is correct.

 

Stage 26, Manicet, Chez Matthieu  (Marie-Laurence Taglang) 15 EU / 1 person / night,

6 EU breakfast, 12 palces, no kitchen
