Stage 45 – road bridge temporary closure

The road bridge at waypoint (2.4) on the Alternate Route has been reported as temporarily closed, with no easy way to bypass the problem. I suggest that you exit Pontarlier on the “Official Route” to point (5.9) in le Frambourg. If you wish then to follow the Alternate Route, carefully turn right to the T-junction with the N57 and then bear right on the small road immediately after crossing the railway tracks. At the picnic tables turn left on the wooded track to join the Alternate Route at waypoint (4.3). This will extend the Alternate Route by approximately 2.5 km.
