The reawakening of the via Francigena has required the participation many individuals and communities not only in the 4 countries that it traverses but throughout the world. However, there are a few people whose contribution is worthy of special mention. Jannnina Viet Teuten has dedicated a large part of the last 25 years to activating awareness and interest in the route in each of the communities it touches. Her approach has been to use her undoubted talent as an artist to record the people and places along the route and then share them through an astounding number of exhibitions.
